APL will advertise this service under its Intra-Asia brand Cheng Lie Navigation (APL-CNC) and it will brand it as ‘China Vietnam Cambodia’ service (CVC), as will do TSL, while GSL will market it as ‘China Sihanoukville Vietnam’ service (CSV) (See details).
The ‘CVC / CSV’ service will turn in three weeks using three ‘Bangkokmax’ vessels (1,700-1,800 teu). It will cover Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Hong Kong, Danang, Sihanoukville, Ho Chi Minh City, Shekou, Shanghai. The first effective sailing is scheduled on 18 April from Shanghai.
This new service will allow TS Lines to serve Danang directly for the first time and to reinstate calls at Sihanoukville, that TSL used to serve from May 2017 to November 2018. It will boost APL and GSL coverage of Cambodia, offering direct links with Central and South China as well as with Central Vietnam. It will also cater to the growing trade between the neighbouring countries of Cambodia and Vietnam.
